For academy owners & directors · One platform, one player record

The platform that runs your whole club.
And remembers every player.

One login for scheduling, payments, registration and chat — plus the one thing no other platform has: a weekly, director-reviewed development record for every athlete — the report families re-enroll for.

Under 30 seconds per coach input · 9 club tools replaced today · 5 more in beta · Built for 27 sports

The shift

Two ways to run player development.
One is why families stay.

Built with the founding cohort of competitive academies and clubs

The status quo

Manual. End-of-season. Generic.

  • Coaches write reports the night before parent meetings — or never. Five hours per team, twice a season.
  • Directors stitch reports from group texts and Word docs — every cycle, from scratch.
  • Families get schedules and standings. Development is invisible until tryouts.
  • Renewal becomes defensive — “what did my kid actually get for $4,200?”

With PlayerFocus

Weekly. Director-reviewed. In your voice.

  • Coaches tap three ratings + two notes — under thirty seconds per player, from any phone.
  • Director reviews, edits, signs off — one Sunday-morning sweep across the whole academy.
  • Every family gets a polished development report — every week, every player.
  • Renewal becomes celebratory. The reports do the talking before you pick up the phone.

Every tool your club pays for.

3 dimensions to rate

This is one of three taps your coaches will do per player. Multiplied by every session.

How it works

From session to family
in one clean loop.

It all runs inside the one platform — no exporting to a separate reporting tool, no second login for your coaches or your families.

01 · Coach taps

Three ratings. Two notes.

On the sideline, in the locker room, or after dinner. Mobile-first. Under thirty seconds per player.

02 · Director reviews

Edit. Approve. Send.

Reports draft in your program’s voice — never auto-sent. Editorial control before anything reaches families.

03 · Family receives

A polished development report — strength, focus, and what to encourage at home. The visibility families pay for.

Strength this week

Strong first touch and calmness on the ball under pressure in 1v1 situations. Held possession through three consecutive defensive sequences in the second half.

Focus for next week

Improving receiving angles when checking back to the ball — particularly off the back line during build-up phases.

Coach's note

“Real composure tonight. Encourage at home to keep that body language — it lifts the whole back line.”

Onboard Friday · Send first reports Sunday

From signup to family inbox
in a single weekend.

Friday

Roster imported. Coaches briefed.

We import your team list from TeamSnap (or CSV), stand up your director and coach accounts, and run a 20-minute briefing call before the weekend’s sessions.

Saturday

Coaches rate from the sideline.

During or after Saturday matches and training, coaches log first ratings — three taps per player, under thirty seconds each, from any phone. AI drafts the reports in your program’s voice.

Sunday

First reports in family inboxes.

You review and approve Sunday morning. Director-signed development reports land in every family’s inbox before the next week starts. Renewal conversations change immediately.

Onboarding is white-glove and included in the price.
No setup fees. No professional services upsell. No second weekend before reports go out.

Founder, PlayerFocus

Founder's note

Why we built this — and why a generic vendor never will.

I've spent many years close to youth sports development — watching the same gap show up in club after club, academy after academy: families paying thousands per season and getting game schedules in return. Coaches know the players are growing. They just have no scalable way to make that growth visible.

PlayerFocus is what happens when you take the way coaches already think about players — sport by sport, framework by framework — and turn every session into something families can actually see. Then clubs asked us to run the rest — scheduling, payments, registration, chat — so that record would stop living in a sixth disconnected app, and PlayerFocus became the system the whole club runs on. We started in soccer, but the same engine now runs for hockey, basketball, baseball, volleyball, tennis, wrestling, swimming — 27 sports and counting. Each one in its own coaching language, not a soccer template with the words swapped. If you take development seriously, in any sport, you should be using it.

What your soccer coaches grade

Every sport gets its own framework — built in that sport's coaching language, not a soccer template with the words swapped. Or define your own dimensions entirely. Either way, you're not bending your program to fit a generic team-management vendor that bolted on “reports.”

One platform · Every sport

Built for the sport you actually coach.

Each with its own development pillars, positions and benchmarks — not a one-size-fits-all template. Find yours:

Don't see yours? — new sports ship with a custom framework, white-glove.

The compounding moat

PlayerFocus becomes your academy’s
development memory.

  • 1Every report builds a player history.
  • 2Every player gets a clearer development story.
  • 3Every parent sees proof of progress — week after week.
  • 4Every director sees retention risk across teams, coaches, and cohorts.

A record no group text, end-of-season form, or rival vendor can reconstruct

Team apps stop at logistics. PlayerFocus runs the club — and owns the development layer they can’t.

Why it can’t be shortcut

Hard for a generic team-management vendor to catch up to.

01

Sport-native across 27 sports.

Built around the framework your coaches already think in — Technique · Game IQ · Mindset in soccer, Skating · Skills · Hockey Sense in hockey, Takedowns · Mat IQ · Conditioning in wrestling, each in its own language. Generic vendors face years of sport-specific R&D to reach parity in even one vertical — we have depth in dozens.

02

Editorial workflow, not auto-send firehose.

Every report passes a director before it reaches a family. Competitors building auto-AI lose trust on the first hallucinated note. We don’t.

03

One system, not another tool in the stack.

Chat, registration, waivers, scheduling, payments and 1:1 booking — clubs cancel the patchwork one tool at a time. Vendors selling a single point feature can’t answer a platform that already holds the development record.

04

Voice-matched AI, not generic LLM output.

Reports sound like your program — terminology, tone, framework. A copy-paste generic AI competitor produces output families immediately recognise as filler.

New · TournamentsBeta

Host the tournament.
Keep every player’s record.

Run brackets and group stages with live standings and public pages — no GotSport, no TourneyMachine, no bracket spreadsheet. And because visiting clubs enter through PlayerFocus, every box score lands in a player record. Your event becomes a doorway into the platform for clubs that haven’t joined yet.

    Brackets & group stages

Single-elimination or round-robin, live standings, public bracket pages your families can follow.

  • 2

    Cross-club entry — the moat

Rival clubs’ teams enter your event through PlayerFocus. Their players’ stats deposit into a record — so the tournament seeds the platform with clubs who haven’t signed up.

  • 3

    Spectator passes

Sell digital gate passes to fans; revenue settles on the same rail as dues and registration.

Tournament performance becomes part of each player’s permanent development record — the one thing no bracket tool keeps.

Who it's built for

Built for academies and clubs
like yours.

Regional academy

80–250 players · 6–14 teams

Scaling family communication beyond what TeamSnap and group texts can carry. Differentiating against the competing program two zip codes over.

Why now

Renewal pressure mounting · Parents asking for more visibility

Training club

1–3 sites · skills-development focus

Premium pricing requires premium visibility. Families paying $300/month for skills training need to see why every week — not just at the end-of-season showcase.

Why now

Premium positioning · Differentiation is the wedge

Elite pathway program

Showcase · academy · college-recruiting tier

Pathway-track families — ECNL and MLS NEXT, AAU and prep, AAA and junior, showcase ball — compare your reporting to what college recruiters expect. Structured weekly development is table stakes at this tier, not a bonus.

Why now

Recruiter-aware families · Structured pathway expectations

Multi-sport academy

2+ sports · Cross-pathway program

One development OS across hockey, basketball, soccer, lacrosse — whatever your program runs. Unified family-communication standard, sport-specific frameworks underneath.

Procurement

The questions your board
is going to ask anyway.

Which sports does PlayerFocus support?

27 and counting — soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, football, hockey, volleyball, lacrosse, tennis, golf, swimming, track & field, wrestling, martial arts, gymnastics, cheer and more, spanning team, racquet, individual, combat and aquatic sports. Each ships with its own development framework in that sport’s coaching language (Technique · Game IQ · Mindset in soccer, Skating · Skills · Hockey Sense in hockey, Takedowns · Mat IQ · Conditioning in wrestling) — not a soccer template with the words swapped. Custom rubrics let you define your own dimensions entirely. Don’t see your sport on the list? We ship new ones with a custom framework, white-glove.

Does this replace TeamSnap or our existing club software?

Yes — that’s the point. Scheduling, RSVPs, roster & family CRM, payments, game recaps, chat, registration and waivers all live in PlayerFocus, so clubs cancel the patchwork one tool at a time (9 categories live today, 5 more in beta). To make switching painless we import from TeamSnap, so coaches never enter data twice during the move. The reason clubs make the switch isn’t the consolidation, though — it’s the one thing no point tool has underneath: a permanent development record for every player.

Will our coaches actually use it?

Three taps per player — under thirty seconds each. Most coaches finish a full roster in under ten minutes from their phone. The format matches how coaches already think in their sport’s dimensions — so adoption isn’t a behaviour-change project.

What about COPPA and family data privacy?

Player photos are opt-in, never used for ML training, never shared cross-organization, never used in marketing without explicit per-parent consent. Hard-coded into the upload pipeline and database row-level security. We treat it like medical data.

What if our program uses a different development framework?

Custom rubrics are first-class. Every sport ships with a sport-specific default you can use as-is or fork — or define your own dimensions, weights, and rating scale entirely. The AI drafting adapts to whatever framework you set, so the reports always sound like your program in your sport.

How long does onboarding take?

Roster import + coach briefing + first reports sent inside one week. White-glove onboarding is included on every tier — not a separate professional-services upsell.

I’m a coach without a club or academy yet — can I still use PlayerFocus?

Yes — Coach Free is launching soon. Solo coaches get one team and up to twenty players for free, forever. Use it for your team, build a track record of structured weekly reports parents love, then bring it to your director when you’re ready. The whole program upgrades together — you keep your data and your players seamlessly. Join the waitlist to be notified when Coach plans launch.

What happens if we cancel?

Export everything in CSV + PDF. No data hostage situations. 30-day money-back guarantee on the first month if PlayerFocus isn’t a fit.
